is to create food security in
Georgia. We invite you to join us.
Shaome (pronounced “show me”) Cooperative is a community of people who want to give, teach, and equip others to do the same. Our BHAG is to make Georgia the FIRST Food Secure State!
What is Food Insecurity? Do you grow and/or raise enough food to sustain your family without going to a grocery store? No? THEN YOU ARE FOOD INSECURE! What would happen if trucks couldn’t get food to the stores and you could not find enough food to buy? How many weeks (or days) would you have food to eat?

The Vision of Shaome Cooperative also includes:
- Partnering with small businesses to promote their goods and services to our growing network.
- Providing education about many topics from growing food and food preservation to creating healthy alternatives for hygiene products, raising chickens and bees, sewing, home emergency care, life skills, literacy, creative arts, and more.
- Offering apprenticeships and internships.
- Create a network of like-minded people, businesses, and organizations in this area.
- Provide goods and services to those who are in need.
